The image generators could be used as a product to give students a choice as to how they want to present subject matter that has been learned. This tool can be used as a way to explore new technology and create journals in small group to enrich their learning experience.

Tool 2 PLN

1. What are your thoughts about building an online education community and participating in a PLN?

I believe that the Personal Learning Networks are a great way for our students to show what they are learning. Our parents love to see what their children are learning. I loved following a blog created by my son's second grade teacher. As educators we can share, communicate, and collaborate with other colleagues.

2. What point stood out to you from the commenting advice?

I believe students need to learn how to write effective comments so that they can express their opinion in a positive way. One of the points that really stood out was when creating a blog, is to have open ended questions to help increase the amount of responses or comments to a blog. This will help students to want to comment on a blog because it is a risk free environment and that is important.

I am a little anxious about blogging because it is so new to me. I think it will be a lot of fun and a great way to communicate what my students and I do in the classroom. The more I learn and the more comfortable I will feel about blogging.
